2023/2024 CONFIRMATION IS COMING… 

CONFIRMATION INVITATION 
Blair 1st United Methodist Church will be offering 7th & 8th Grade Confirmation during the 2023/2024 school year.  We invite all students in 7th & 8th grade to participate in Confirmation when they are ready and interested in being part of this intentional time of faith preparation. 
 

WHAT IS CONFIRMATION?

Confirmation in the United Methodist Church is a sacred occasion. For some young people, confirmation represents a maturity of faith that allows the youth to claim the baptismal vows made by family on their behalf during infant baptism. For those not already baptized, confirmation includes the sacrament of baptism and the outpouring of God's love. During the confirmation process, young people claim their love of God through Jesus Christ in their life as they become members of the church. Through Confirmation young people gain a deeper knowledge of what it means to be a member of the church, and what it means to be a disciple and a growing Christian. The Confirmation process offers a variety of ways for each student to experience and grow in their faith. Confirmation is designed for youth (Confirmands) in the 8th grade. Your family does not have to be a member of the United Methodist Church to participate in Confirmation.

CONFIRMATION MEETING FOR 7th & 8TH GRADE YOUTH AND THEIR PARENTS

Due to the high level of commitment required, parents and youth must attend the meeting so they may have a full understanding of the requirements of the process towards Confirmation.
